PUPfest
We run two PUPfest events each year one in May and the other in September.
Locations are subject to change/availability but at present our May event is in the New forest and September in Wales in the Afan forest.
What to expect?
A long weekend of planned walks and activities exploring the local area where dogs are at the centre of everything. Think forest walks, beach visits, dog friendly cafes, pet shops and scentwork. All of our itinerary is optional and can be tailored to your own dogs needs and behaviour.
What to bring?
Think of going to an off grid campsite and anything you would take there. We stay at sites that have their own toilet, shower and washing up facilities. If you don't have a camper van or motorhome with power then power banks for phone charging.
Is it suitable for your dog?
Our May event is suitable for dogs who are sociable, those who are nervous and dogs who can be a bit picky. We have our own area of campsite.
Our Septmeber event is suitable for all of the above plus dogs who are more challenging and reactive. We have private use of a whole campsite.
What type of accommodation will there be?
In the New forest you can bring a tent, a campervan, motorhome, caravan, trailer tent, tent box or pretty much any type of camping unit you fancy.
In Wales there are a limited number of wooden cabins plus pitches for tents, campervans, or tent boxes. Due to access large motorhomes and caravans are not allowed.
Will this be a training event?
During the break the idea is to have some down time with your dog. There will be opportunities for some specific training activities such as mantrailing but joining is optional. There will always be two behaviourists present however to support you and your dog. On walks we are there to navigate, help to keep space for your dog if needed and to intercept other dog walkers to keep your dogs experience positive and relaxed.
Is it for me?
We get a diverse mix of people including couples, families with children, single people etc who all have one thing in common - a love of dogs!
